Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Devin Dilbrandt (ranked 6153 p4p, 236 weight class) and Ray Reaper (ranked 6978 p4p, 254 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devin Dilbrandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Reaper!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dilbrandt shoots for a double leg takedown but Reaper sprawls well. He's pushed Dilbrandt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dilbrandt dives in and grabs Reaper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reaper pushes down on Dilbrandt's head and hops out.
A punch combination from Reaper misses.
Reaper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dilbrandt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin Dilbrandt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dilbrandt shoots in looking for a takedown. Reaper tries to sprawl out of it but Dilbrandt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reaper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dilbrandt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reaper's waist but Reaper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dilbrandt off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reaper leaves Dilbrandt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dilbrandt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reaper but Reaper pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ray Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dilbrandt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reaper tries to avoid it but Dilbrandt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reaper to the ground. Reaper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dilbrandt tries to score with some ground and pound. Reaper controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Reaper has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sloppy strikes from Reaper. Those never looked like landing.
Dilbrandt was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Reaper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reaper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ray Reaper seems to be getting the better of the standup.
