The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Aleksy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Fernando Mendes has been cut.
Nice straight punches there by Aleksy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Aleksy.
A right-left combo lands from Aleksy.

and Aleksy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown but Aleksy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Aleksy gets in close and tags Mendes with a short punch that almost sends Mendes to the mat! Oh Mendes is in big trouble! He turns his back on Aleksy, trying to create some distance but Aleksy rushes him, striking wildly and Mendes goes down! The referee tackles Aleksy into the cage to end the fight! Aleksy is one violent man!
