The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gazimagomedov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Green looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Gazimagomedov gets a takedown into half guard.
Gazimagomedov not doing much here.
Gazimagomedov trying to mount his opponent but Green defends it.

Gazimagomedov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Green defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gazimagomedov decides to stand up.

Gazimagomedov throws a right hand that Green ducks under and follows up with a left that Green also avoids with ease.
Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Green has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gazimagomedov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gazimagomedov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gazimagomedov duly obliges.
Gazimagomedov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Green paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Oooooh!!! Gazimagomedov has knocked Green down with a huge combo! Gazimagomedov steps away and waves a wobbly Green back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Hal Green has been cut.

Gazimagomedov feints a jab and as Green dips his head, Gazimagomedov unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Green right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Green falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Gazimagomedov smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
