Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyrell Jackson (ranked 4211 p4p, 365 weight class) and Dave Steele (ranked 4813 p4p, 392 weight class). Tyrell Jackson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrell Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dave Steele!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson goes for a double leg but Steele avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steele continues to drive forward.
Despite the aggression on Steele's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jackson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jackson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Steele avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steele continues to drive forward.
Steele changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Jackson dives in and grabs Steele's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.
Steele is looking for the big counter here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrell Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steele sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Steele is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jackson dives in and grabs Steele's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.

Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Steele circles away.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steele as he jumps to the side.
Steele throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tyrell Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson dives in and grabs Steele's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.
Steele throws a counter combo.
Steele leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Steele as Jackson shoots in.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.

Jackson wants to clinch up but Steele keeps it at a distance.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Steele! But no joy.
Jackson has his takedown stuffed
and Steele counters with a left to the body.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Steele has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Steele not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steele swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jackson is in close to Steele's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Steele is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson with a nice head shot there.
Jackson won't allow Steele to sweep him here.
Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Steele blocks nicely.
Jackson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jackson lands a couple of digs.

Steele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Steele's legs - danger averted.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson cracks Steele with a solid left hand.


Steele is rocked!
Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Steele is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him?
Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jackson advances position into side control!
Steele seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jackson scoring with punches and elbows.
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Steele is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyrell Jackson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steele but Steele pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Steele throws a counter combo.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jackson tries to score with some ground and pound. Steele controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Steele is trying to get back to half guard.
Jackson trying to control the position but Steele is working away.

Steele tries to bench press Jackson off him but Jackson keeps the position.

Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Steele down.
Jackson trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom.
Jackson cracks Steele with a big elbow.
Jackson cracks Steele with a big right hand but Steele just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd goes nuts as Jackson knocks Steele out cold with a massive hammerfist! Jackson Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tyrell Jackson!
Tyrell Jackson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
