Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Stanislaw Cheba (ranked 23045 p4p, 522 weight class) and Thom Tharrier (ranked 1716 p4p, 201 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheba just misses with a punch to the body.
Tharrier throws a jab but it's blocked by Cheba.
Cheba wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Cheba walks into a big right hand from Tharrier and goes down! The referee sends Tharrier to a neutral corner as Cheba gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.

Tharrier loads up on a big right hand but Cheba slips the punch.

We've been informed that Tharrier has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Cheba was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tharrier tries to land a leg kick but Cheba saw it coming and moves away.

Tharrier drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Cheba onto his butt! Cheba pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

It looked like Cheba wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
