Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Nurmy (ranked 6851 p4p, 467 weight class) and Balagot Liu (ranked 1164 p4p, 133 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Nurmy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Balagot Liu!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Abdul Nurmy has been cut.
Liu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Liu, right into the meat.
Nurmy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Nurmy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nurmy dives in and grabs Liu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Liu pushes down on Nurmy's head and hops out.
Balagot Liu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmy drops his hands momentarily and Liu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Liu cracks the inside of Nurmy's front leg.
Nurmy moves forwards but Liu connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Abdul Nurmy's cut is getting worse.

Nurmy tries to clinch up
and Liu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nurmy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Liu can pounce on him.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nurmy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Liu - the referee stops the clock and Nurmy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Liu. Nurmy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Liu has Nurmy pulled in close to control his posture.
Liu keeping moving, preventing Nurmy from controlling successfully.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nurmy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Liu scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Nurmy shoots in looking for a takedown. Liu tries to sprawl out of it but Nurmy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abdul Nurmy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nurmy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Liu sizes up Nurmy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Liu lands a jab to Nurmy's midsection.
Nurmy fails with the takedown
and Liu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Balagot Liu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nurmy looks to clinch
and Liu counters with a left to the body.
Nurmy is breathing heavily.
Liu scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Balagot Liu dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nurmy closes the distance but Liu moves to the side
and Liu counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Liu drops Nurmy with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Nurmy looks back up at him and smiles so Liu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Liu cracks Nurmy's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Nurmy slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Liu can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Balagot Liu!
A very excited looking Balagot Liu made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
