Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Boyd (ranked 6980 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aries Soriano (ranked 4802 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyd comes to the cage accompanied by Evil villain. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Soriano.
Boyd looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Soriano closes the distance and clinches.

Soriano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Soriano tries to clinch up but Boyd circles away and keeps his distance.

Soriano rushes Boyd and presses him up against the cage.

Soriano has hold of one of Boyd's legs. Boyd is fighting the takedown attempt but Soriano gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Soriano slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Soriano works a leg free and moves into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soriano working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Boyd is trying to control but Soriano passes into side control!

Boyd is trying to get back to half guard.

Soriano tries for a kimura but Boyd is defending well.

Soriano decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Soriano shoots in and gets a takedown into Boyd's guard.

Soriano is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Boyd is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Boyd flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Soriano anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Boyd and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Soriano slips an arm under Boyd chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Soriano has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Soriano is squeezing on Boyd like an anaconda would it's prey. Boyd fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
