With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zhoujiangcuo Wong!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong throws a head kick but Ramirez moves out of range.

Ramirez shoots for a takedown but Wong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ramirez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Wong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ramirez pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ramirez avoids the head kick by Wong.

Ramirez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ramirez controls the position.
Ramirez is looking to take a break and control but Wong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ramirez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wong is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ramirez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ramirez tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wong's legs.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wong is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zhoujiangcuo Wong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
