And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roglic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively.
Roglic changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Roglic looks for the body kick but Walker saw that one coming.
Roglic misses with a two punch combination.
Roglic jabs Walker to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Walker checks a leg kick.
Walker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walker tries to keep at a distance but Roglic has taken the fight into the clinch.
Roglic cracks Walker with a nice body shot.

Roglic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Roglic rushes Walker and presses him up against the cage.

Walker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Walker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Roglic leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Palmer Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Roglic clinches up with Walker and pushes him back against the cage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Roglic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Walker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Walker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Walker keeps control of Roglic as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Walker tries to pull guard but Roglic holds him up against the cage and eventually Walker drops back down to his feet.
Walker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Roglic throws out a leg kick but Walker moves out of range and Roglic only half commits.
Roglic slips a jab and a cross from Walker.

Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Roglic was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Roglic is wriggling around but Walker manages to pass to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Walker moves out of range of the body kick.
Walker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Roglic attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
As Roglic tries to get set, Walker tries to push him back and clinch up but Roglic manages to avoid the attempt.
Walker avoids the head kick by Roglic.
Roglic smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Walker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Walker is looking to counter with head kicks.
Roglic tries a low kick but Walker avoids it.

Walker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roglic is just riding it out for now. Walker eventually gives up the hold.
Roglic is doing well to control the position and prevent Walker from advancing to side control.

Roglic tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Walker manages to move to mount!
Roglic holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Walker tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Palmer Walker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Walker thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Roglic wants to control but Walker is having none of it.

Walker working for a submission but Roglic is keeping him at bay.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roglic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Walker cracks Roglic with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Roglic is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Walker is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Roglic has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Walker tries to push Roglic's head away but Roglic is holding on tight.
Roglic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
