Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Sixx (ranked 5138 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Van Cleefe (ranked 7034 p4p, 466 weight class). Sixx comes to the cage accompanied by The Fire of Power by WATAIN. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Cleefe gets caught napping as Sixx dives in and scores a takedown. Van Cleefe manages to retain guard.
Our spies down at at The Forge inform us that Van Cleefe has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Sixx tries to free his leg and advance position but Van Cleefe is retaining full guard.

Sixx passes Van Cleefe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sixx lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Sixx has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Van Cleefe is defending against the submission attempts here by Sixx.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sixx working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sixx is nestled in close to Van Cleefe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sixx throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Van Cleefe wants to get back to full guard.
Sixx is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sixx's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sixx seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Van Cleefe for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

It looks like Lee Van Cleefe has been cut.

Sixx closes the distance and clinches.
Van Cleefe fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sixx lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Sixx has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Van Cleefe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sixx is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Van Cleefe with him. Van Cleefe is trying to defend but Sixx has an arm under the chin now! Van Cleefe grimaces and is forced to tap out!
