PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Oscar Alcala (ranked 3055 p4p, 330 weight class) and Leonardo Moraes (ranked 4904 p4p, 455 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Oscar Alcala has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Oscar Alcala seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moraes moves out of range of the body kick.
Moraes blocks a head kick by Alcala.
Moraes with a nice cross.
Alcala moves forwards but Moraes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Moraes.
Alcala walks into a straight right hand from Moraes.
Leonardo Moraes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moraes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moraes connects with the punch.
Moraes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alcala looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alcala fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Moraes checks it well.
Moraes throws out a counter right but Alcala avoids it with no problem.
Moraes lands a jab-cross combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alcala looks to score with a jab to the body but Moraes is just out of range.
Moraes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Alcala is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Moraes scores with a body shot.
Alcala lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Alcala lands a head kick!
Moraes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Moraes lands a nice shot to the body.
Moraes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Alcala walks into a stiff left hand from Moraes.
Alcala connects with a high kick.
Alcala blocks a leg kick.
Alcala slips a jab from Moraes.
Alcala tries to clinch up.
Alcala needs to keep his hands up - Moraes had a free shot at his head there.
Alcala misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Alcala moves into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Moraes.

Alcala breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alcala tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moraes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A little jabbing left from Moraes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alcala tries to clinch up but Moraes circles away and keeps his distance.

Alcala tries to clinch but Moraes is having none of it.
Alcala pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Moraes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Moraes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Moraes misses with a head kick.
Moraes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alcala had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Moraes lands a two punch combo.
Moraes misses with a wild body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Alcala, as that shot connected.
Alcala tries to clinch there but Moraes circles away.
Alcala gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Alcala is rocked!
Moraes weaves into range and cracks Alcala right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Alcala goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Moraes is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
