PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Peter Hare (ranked 2882 p4p, 333 weight class) and He Mu (ranked 4218 p4p, 450 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that He Mu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, He Mu!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hare comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hare throws a body punch but Mu moves out of range.
Mu is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

It looks like Peter Hare has been cut.
Hare is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mu's coach down at Master Chai's Dojo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hare scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mu has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hare finds it's way round the side to connect with Mu's head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Mu scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Hare to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Mu away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Hare got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mu creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Hare crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Hare face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Mu takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
