Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Waylon Mullen (ranked 24795 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Mars (ranked 24787 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson Mars looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mars fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mullen closes the distance and clinches.
Mullen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mars has Mullen pressed against the cage, preventing Mullen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Mullen is trying to break the clinch but Mars has him pressed against the cage.
Mars has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mullen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mars tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mullen smiles and moves away.

Mullen dives in and grabs Mars's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mars pushes down on Mullen's head and hops out.

Mullen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mullen looks up at the clock and then as Mars takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mullen smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mullen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mars is fighting to break Mullen's control of his arms but Mullen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mullen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mullen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mars tries to avoid it but Mullen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mars to the ground. Mars escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
