Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Dorsey (ranked 24456 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Radmon (ranked 5919 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Blake Radmon enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darius Dorsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blake Radmon!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Radmon.
Dorsey wants to clinch up but Radmon keeps it at a distance.
Radmon is looking for the big counter here.

Dorsey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Radmon pushes Dorsey off and gets back to his feet.

Dorsey looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Radmon!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dorsey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Radmon's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dorsey lands a nice short elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dorsey is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Radmon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dorsey pulls his head out easily.
Radmon wants to get back to full guard but Dorsey has passed into side control.

Radmon is looking for a sweep.
Radmon sneaks back into half guard.
Radmon moves into full guard.
Dorsey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Radmon is looking for a triangle here but Dorsey uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Dorsey lands some shots froms side control.

Radmon is trying to control Dorsey's posture but Dorsey avoids it.
Dorsey wants to stand but Radmon has his arm trapped.
Radmon tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Radmon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dorsey presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
We've been informed that Radmon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Dorsey stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dorsey is defended easily by Radmon.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dorsey darts in trying to clinch
and Radmon counters with a one-two to the body.

Dorsey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Radmon is trying to defend but Dorsey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Radmon is trying to control but Dorsey manages to pass to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Blake Radmon will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dorsey shoots in looking for a takedown. Radmon tries to sprawl out of it but Dorsey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Radmon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Darius Dorsey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radmon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dorsey defends it easily.

Dorsey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Radmon tries to kick Dorsey off in order to stand up. Dorsey Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Radmon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dorsey off and has taken his back!

Radmon has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Dorsey trying to control the position but Radmon manages to sink in the hooks.

Dorsey is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Radmon gets his way!
Radmon is breathing heavily.

Dorsey is trying to break free.
Radmon is trying to stick to Dorsey's back but Dorsey is turning into Radmon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Radmon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dorsey.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dorsey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Dorsey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dorsey winds up and cracks Radmon with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Radmon gets back to full guard.

Dorsey distracts Radmon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Radmon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dorsey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dorsey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darius Dorsey.
I think Dorsey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
