Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Second (ranked 6154 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Giuseppe (ranked 4546 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giuseppe looks to land a combination but Second avoids it well.
Second tries to counter with a takedown but Giuseppe is quick to defend against it.
Giuseppe throws a left and a right that both miss

so Second counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Giuseppe is trying to keep Second in close.
Giuseppe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Second. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Second trying to control the position from guard on top but Giuseppe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Second drops back looking for a leg! Giuseppe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Giuseppe manages to kick Second off! Second jumps back into Giuseppe's guard.

Second thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Second passes Giuseppe's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Giuseppe is trying to control but can't.
Second is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Second is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Giuseppe sees it coming and defends easily.

Giuseppe tries to roll over but Second keeps him under control.

Second looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Giuseppe is not content to let Second control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Second tries to pass to full mount but Giuseppe defends it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Giuseppe is trying to stand back up but Second is controlling him

Second seems to be looking for submissions.

Second is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Giuseppe is just riding it out for now. Second eventually gives up the hold.
Giuseppe is trying to maintain the position but Second is very close to passing his half guard.

Second seems to be working for a kimura but Giuseppe defends the submission attempt.

Second is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Giuseppe looks calm but he's in trouble here. Second gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Giuseppe is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Second lets go of the hold and Giuseppe can pop his arm back in it's socket.
