The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Creed scores with a takedown into Tho's guard.
Creed wants to control from the top but Tho keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Creed passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tho tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Creed wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Tho is still trying to improve position.
Tho is not content to let Creed control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Creed decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tho to his feet.
Creed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Tho counters with a takedown into side control.

Creed sneaks out the side door and pushes Tho away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Yoel Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tho in side control lands a decent elbow.
Tho misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Creed tries to bench press Tho off him but Tho keeps the position.
Tho fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tho lands a nice forearm strike.
Tho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Creed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Creed is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tho connects with a decent elbow.

Creed regains half guard, as Tho was trying to land strikes.
