Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Druvis Dumandbass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neits Halva!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halva clinches up with Dumandbass and pushes him back against the cage.
Dumandbass tries to pull guard but Halva forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Halva is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Halva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dumandbass uses from the top position.

Dumandbass trying to move into half guard but instead Halva has managed to sweep!

Halva chips away with some ground and pound.
Halva with a flurry of punches that miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Halva stands and throws Dumandbass's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Halva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halva lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dumandbass tries to lock up and control but Halva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Halva is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Dumandbass defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Dumandbass is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Halva.

I really don't envy Dumandbass right now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dumandbass is breathing heavily.
Dumandbass can't escape the position.
What can Dumandbass do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Halva looking to break Dumandbass's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dumandbass remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Halva will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Halva is hanging on to Dumandbass's back as he tries to escape.
Dumandbass is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neits Halva dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Halva lands a big head kick that sends Dumandbass tumbling to the mat! Halva takes a step backwards and waves Dumandbass back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Druvis Dumandbass has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Halva. No joy for Dumandbass on that attempt.
Dumandbass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Halva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Halva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Halva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dumandbass tries to clinch up but Halva circles away and keeps his distance.
Halva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Halva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dumandbass did well to prevent Halva getting side control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Halva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dumandbass as he avoids it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Halva slaps away a takedown attempt from Dumandbass, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Druvis Dumandbass. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dumandbass enables Halva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dumandbass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Halva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Neits Halva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dumandbass shoots in for a takedown but Halva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Halva closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dumandbass's guard.

Dumandbass tries to kick Halva off but Halva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neits Halva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Dumandbass has managed to clinch.
Halva wants a takedown but no success here.
Halva tries to land knees in the clinch but Dumandbass avoids the damage to the body.
Dumandbass is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Dumandbass's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Halva decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dumandbass wants to control from the top but Halva keeps moving.

Halva is looking for a triangle but Dumandbass pushes his legs off easily.
Halva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dumandbass not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Dumandbass has gone for a leg lock! Halva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dumandbass's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Halva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Halva trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Halva wants to stand but Dumandbass has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Halva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Halva shoots in looking for a takedown. Dumandbass tries to sprawl out of it but Halva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dumandbass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Halva throws a head kick that misses.

Halva gets a clinch.
Dumandbass lands an elbow inside that Halva shrugs off.
Halva tries to pull guard but Dumandbass won't allow it.
Druvis Dumandbass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neits Halva.
Halva is pressed up against the cage. Dumandbass has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Halva down to the mat. Halva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dumandbass shoots for a double leg takedown but Halva sprawls well. He's pushed Dumandbass's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Halva throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Dumandbass's head.

Dumandbass looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Halva manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Dumandbass counters with a three punch combo that has Halva backing up. Halva nods at Dumandbass to acknowledge the strikes.

Halva is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dumandbass's half guard.
Dumandbass trying to get back to full guard but Halva takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Dumandbass's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Neits Halva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Halva winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
