The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jibang shoots in for a double leg but Vargas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vargas tries to counter by clinching up but Jibang breaks away and moves out of range.
Vargas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jibang pushes Vargas up against the cage in a clinch.
Jibang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Vargas is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jibang to keep the fight standing.
Jibang works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Jibang postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
It looks like Mckinley Vargas has been cut.
Jibang controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jibang working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vargas's head.
Vargas is rocked!
Mckinley Vargas's cut is getting worse.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mckinley Vargas's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
