The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guthrie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wayne swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Guthrie backs off Wayne throws a huge counter combo but Guthrie manages to avoid it all.
Wayne's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Wayne duly obliges.
Wayne lands a jab.
Wayne dips to his left and cracks Guthrie with an uppercut!

It looks like Carey Guthrie has been cut.
Wayne keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Guthrie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guthrie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wayne did well to prevent Guthrie getting side control.

Wayne fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Guthrie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Anthony Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wayne ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Guthrie's jaw. Guthrie's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Wayne does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
