Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Serul Dathren (ranked 4873 p4p, 449 weight class) and Reinaldo Araujo (ranked 3966 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reinaldo Araujo!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot by Dathren.
Araujo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Dathren misses with a series of wild punches.
Araujo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Araujo is looking to clinch but Dathren is avoiding it.
Araujo misses with a straight right.
As Araujo tries to get set, Dathren tries to push him back and clinch up but Araujo manages to avoid the attempt.
Araujo throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Dathren counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Araujo is looking to break free of the clinch but Dathren has double underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Araujo.
Dathren digs a right hand underneath Araujo's ribcage. Araujo let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dathren lands a body punch.
Dathren lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Araujo backwards.

Dathren decides to pull guard.

Dathren working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Araujo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Araujo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dathren has his foot on Araujo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Araujo works his way back into a safe position though.

Araujo is sitting in close to Dathren's body. Dathren has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Araujo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Araujo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Dathren.
