Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerrold Cole (ranked 23221 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julmeri Kulli (ranked 4615 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julmeri Kulli!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole feints and as Kulli raises his hands in defense, Cole changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cole throwing strikes from guard but Kulli blocks nicely.
Kulli wants to sweep here but Cole controlling him for the moment.

Cole slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kulli is looking to stand up but Cole isn't so interested in that idea.
Cole will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cole lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kulli tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Cole really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cole is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Kulli covers up after that shot from Cole.

Cole controlling well, preventing Kulli from escaping the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kulli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cole. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kulli is trapped and Cole is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Kulli is trying to get back to his feet but Cole has full control of the position and if anything, Kulli has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Cole has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kulli is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Cole connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Kulli to escape the position.
Cole lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Cole.

Kulli gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cole lands an elbow.
Cole creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Cole remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kulli can't do much from the bottom here.
Cole has control of an arm but Kulli manages to advance to Cole's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kulli has his opponent's back but Cole is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Kulli.

Cole moves into the clinch successfully.
Kulli changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cole fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jerrold Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julmeri Kulli.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kulli enables Cole to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kulli manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cole is standing up over Kulli. Kulli looks to escape but Cole dives into side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kulli is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cole connects with a decent elbow.

Kulli is bucking up trying to escape but Cole cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

and Cole counters by clinching up.
Kulli is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cole pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Cole has Kulli pressed against the cage, preventing Kulli from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Cole has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kulli is trying to keep an underhook but Cole manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Cole looks up at the clock and then as Kulli takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cole smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cole cracks Kulli with a big right hand but Kulli just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kulli is letting Cole control him for a moment.
Cole is chipping away with strikes.
Kulli tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Cole easily slips into full mount!

Cole is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kulli is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kulli tries to hold on but Cole postures up.
Kulli is in a horrible position here. Cole smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Cole postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kulli looks a forlorn figure.
