Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Anselmo!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anselmo tries to clinch there but Duarte circles away.
Anselmo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Duarte keeps the fight on the outside.
Duarte getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Duarte lands a nice hook to Anselmo's body. Anselmo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Duarte misses with a combination
and Anselmo counters with a takedown into side control.
Anselmo swings around for an armbar but Duarte sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Anselmo's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Anselmo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Anselmo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Anselmo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anselmo pushing down on Duarte's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Anselmo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Duarte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anselmo on the ground.
Anselmo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Anselmo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Duarte!
Anselmo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Duarte turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Anselmo off and cradles Duarte's limp body as Anselmo celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Phil Anselmo!
