The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai goes for a double leg but Riley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Riley continues to drive forward.
Riley went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Kai closes the distance and clinches.
Kai on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Riley throws a punch but it's blocked by Kai.

Kai pulls guard successfully.
Kai has his hands on Riley's head, controlling the position.

Riley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Riley has managed to get both his arms back between Kai's legs - danger averted.

Riley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kai avoids it really well and circles away.

Kai goes for a double leg but Riley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Riley continues to drive forward.

Kai is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Riley is defending well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Riley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Riley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kai drops down looking for an ankle pick but Riley pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kai shoots in looking for a takedown but Riley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kai's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Riley.
Kai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kai shoots in looking for a takedown. Riley tries to sprawl out of it but Kai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kai keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Riley's efforts to push away.
Riley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Riley is trying to pull guard but Kai has him pressed against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kai blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Riley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riley lands in his opponent's guard.
Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kai is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Riley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kai, up you get!

Riley shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Riley dives in and grabs Kai's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kai pushes down on Riley's head and hops out.

Kai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kai drags the fight down to the ground.
Riley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Kai Kai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
