The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Majoris throws a nice inside leg kick.
Avetisyan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Majoris momentarily.
Avetisyan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Avetisyan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Majoris tries to work over Avetisyan's front leg with a kick but Avetisyan checks it.
It looked like Avetisyan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Majoris lands with an overhand left.
Majoris scores with a crisp jab that stopped Avetisyan in his tracks.
Majoris checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Majoris misses with a right hand
and Avetisyan counters with a straight right hand.
Avetisyan lands with a hook. Majoris tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Majoris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Avetisyan.

and Avetisyan counters with a stiff right hand.

Canis Majoris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Avetisyan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Majoris.

Majoris throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Majoris slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Majoris connects with a body shot that sends Avetisyan's belly button to the back.

Avetisyan knocks Majoris to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Majoris is rocked!
It looks like Canis Majoris has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Majoris is trying to control Avetisyan's posture but Avetisyan avoids it.
Majoris is still in real trouble! Can Avetisyan finish him?
Avetisyan stands up and beckons Majoris to his feet.

Avetisyan is looking to counter with head kicks.
Majoris throws a body kick that misses
and Avetisyan scores with a counter punch that sends Majoris to the canvas! Avetisyan smells blood - he's punishing Majoris with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Majoris has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

After the fight, Edgar Avetisyan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
