The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litton throws a series of punches but Mahoney moves out of range.
Litton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mahoney circles away quickly and effectively.
Litton looks to land a combination. Mahoney sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Mahoney gets the takedown into side control.
Litton is looking to reverse the position.
Litton holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Litton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mahoney wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Litton is working hard here to advance position.

Mahoney looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Litton is trying to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Litton tries to control but Mahoney manages to take his back.
Mahoney really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Litton.

Mahoney is persistently looking for the submission but Litton is defending it well.

Mahoney is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Litton has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Mahoney has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Litton taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Mahoney doesn't care though - he's delighted!
