Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Monower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teh Spanker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Teh Spanker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monower shoots in and bounces Spanker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spanker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Spanker lands a lovely overhand right.
Monower looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Monower takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Spanker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Spanker throws the kick towards the body but Monower avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Monower goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Spanker rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Monower's guard! Nice work there by Spanker!

Monower takes one to the chin there.

Spanker throws a hook to the side of Monower's head but Monower sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monower changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spanker tries to avoid it but Monower manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spanker to the ground. Spanker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Monower displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spanker throws out the jab.

Spanker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Monower manages to avoid it.
Spanker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Monower moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Spanker jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spanker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Spanker lands a nice hook to Monower's body. Monower takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Teh Spanker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
