Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andy McCallum (ranked 2260 p4p, 263 weight class) and Erlend Jahr (ranked 1370 p4p, 171 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erlend Jahr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jahr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
McCallum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jahr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jahr passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McCallum!
McCallum wants to hold on but Jahr pushes him away.
Jahr wants to take McCallum's back here but McCallum is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
McCallum is working to get back to half guard.

Jahr working for a submission but McCallum is keeping him at bay.
McCallum tries to lock up and control but Jahr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jahr wants to control the pace but McCallum is squirming around nicely.
McCallum is in all sorts of trouble here.

McCallum wants to control but Jahr is having none of it.
McCallum is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The 13 Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
McCallum keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCallum is squirming around, avoiding Jahr's attempts to control the action.

McCallum has left one of his arms exposed and Jahr doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. McCallum screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

In his post fight interview, Erlend Jahr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
