Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brant Simmons (ranked 24817 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krungthep Suwanpakdee (ranked 4864 p4p, 453 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simmons gets tackled into the cage by Suwanpakdee. Suwanpakdee maintains the clinch.
Simmons blocks an elbow strike from Suwanpakdee.

Suwanpakdee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Simmons is trying to force a seperation but Suwanpakdee has the dominant position.
Simmons can't get the takedown.
Suwanpakdee throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Suwanpakdee breaks from the clinch.

Suwanpakdee closes the distance and pushes Simmons back into the cage.

Simmons tightens his grip and picks Suwanpakdee up, before dumping him to the ground. Suwanpakdee manages to land in guard.
Suwanpakdee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Simmons is controlling him.

Suwanpakdee bucks up and tries to throw Simmons off but instead Simmons has got his back!

Simmons has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Suwanpakdee has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suwanpakdee is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Simmons is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Suwanpakdee is defending well though. Simmons let's go of the attempt for now.

Simmons tries to pull guard but Suwanpakdee holds him up against the cage and eventually Simmons drops back down to his feet.

Suwanpakdee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Whack! Suwanpakdee lands a heavy head kick that drops Simmons. The ref tackles Suwanpakdee to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Simmons was done.
