Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Sweet (ranked 24802 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hammer (ranked 7328 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kim Sweet has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kim Sweet seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kim Sweet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hammer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hammer misses with a head kick.
Sweet misses with the combination.
Sweet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sweet fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hammer to the ground. Sweet is now in Hammer's guard.
Sweet lands a couple of elbows.
Sweet is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sweet working some strikes from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sweet sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sweet stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hammer throws a lazy uppercut
and Sweet counters by clinching up.
Sweet has hold of one of Hammer's legs. Hammer is fighting the takedown attempt but Sweet gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sweet is looking to stand up but Hammer won't let him.
Sweet stands and steps away. Hammer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sweet closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hammer did well to prevent Sweet getting side control.
Sweet wants to stand but Hammer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sweet is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sweet seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hammer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sweet is working away from the top position though.
Sweet landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Sweet looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sweet decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sweet cracks Hammer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sweet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sweet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sweet decides to stand up.
Sweet misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sweet scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hammer tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Sweet is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hammer is defending well though. Sweet let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sweet is cranking Hammer's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hammer! He's tightened the choke and Hammer is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kim Sweet!
