Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Holloway (ranked 4418 p4p, 110 weight class) and Petr Kotrc (ranked 7310 p4p, 126 weight class). Petr Kotrc is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Holloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Petr Kotrc!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holloway scores with a body shot.
Kotrc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Holloway sprawls well. Holloway wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kotrc gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kotrc or perhaps it was just good defense by Holloway, which made it look bad.
Holloway wants to clinch.
Kotrc darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holloway closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kotrc's guard.
Holloway scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Kotrc looking for a sweep. Not yet Kotrc, not yet.
Holloway wants to control from the top but Kotrc keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Holloway missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holloway accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kotrc is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Holloway throwing strikes but missing.
Kotrc is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kotrc has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Holloway is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Holloway turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Holloway manages to end up in side control.
Kotrc bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holloway closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kotrc makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Kotrc shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jack Holloway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petr Kotrc.
Holloway closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kotrc's guard.

Holloway passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've been hearing that Holloway has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Kotrc is looking for a sweep.
Kotrc is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Holloway has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holloway is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kotrc looks calm but he's in trouble here. Holloway gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kotrc is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Holloway lets go of the hold and Kotrc can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Holloway!
