The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hyde.
Hyde throws a one two combo.
Hyde rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones leaves Hyde with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Hyde really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyde utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Hyde goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hyde regains guard.

Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hyde is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jones wants to pass the guard but Hyde is keeping the position.

Hyde looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jones has picked Hyde up and slammed him! Hyde can't keep hold of the triangle and Jones manages to pass to side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
