Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Calixto Cardona (ranked 634 p4p, 80 weight class) and Dwayne King (ranked 2136 p4p, 221 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Calixto Cardona!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dwayne King!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardona scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Dwayne King has been cut.
King throws a body shot but no joy.
Cardona moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.
Cardona throws a hook but King avoids it easily.
King lands with a shot to the body.
King fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cardona walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. King checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cardona throws a wild body kick that King sees coming a mile off.
King lands a leg kick that knocks Cardona off balance momentarily.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from King.
King moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

King feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cardona's calf.

King bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
King stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cardona.
Cardona looks to land a right hand but King moved out of range.
Dwayne King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Cardona cracks a nice hook into King's ribs.
Cardona looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
King fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cardona manages to avoid it.
King lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts King, as that shot connected.
King lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cardona's sensitive parts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Cardona counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
King connects with a leg kick. Cardona looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
King is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cardona rather than just go for the knockout.

Cardona uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before King has time to react.

King scores with a sloppy right hand. Cardona should have avoided that one.
King moves out of range as Cardona strikes.

King misses with a leg kick
and Cardona counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cardona takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
King closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Cardona lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but King circles away quickly and effectively.
Cardona throws a series of punches but King moves out of range.
Cardona lands a really nice looking cross but King seems unphased.
Cardona lands a head kick that stumbles King and the fighters go to the mat.
King is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King wants to sweep but no luck.
King is still in real trouble! Can Cardona finish him?
Cardona works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cardona is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work.
Cardona looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
King is not content to let Cardona control the position.
Cardona works his foot free and advances to mount.
King working to try and regain half guard.
King seems to have recovered his senses.
Cardona avoids the attempt from King to control.

Cardona jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… King is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by King and Cardona has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
King is looking for a sweep.
Cardona is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cardona swings around for an armbar but King sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Cardona's guard.
Cardona trying to keep a closed guard but King is proving a slippery customer.
Cardona keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.

Cardona has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.
King looking to sit in guard and control but Cardona gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
King is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cardona defends it well.
King seems to be working for a kimura but Cardona defends the submission attempt.

Cardona is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of King's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take King's back!
King felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Cardona has both hooks in and is working for a choke. King is in real trouble here. Cardona gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, King is tapping out! Cardona wins by rear naked choke!

A very excited looking Calixto Cardona made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
