Holmes Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Red - Damage. Karamyenyan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bonecrusher - Saw Theme Remix. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vahan Karamyenyan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Karamyenyan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A punch lands to the side of Holmes Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That kick from Karamyenyan tenderised Holmes Jr's leg. Holmes Jr is trying to keep his angry face on.
Karamyenyan throws a right hand that Holmes Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Holmes Jr also avoids with ease.
Holmes Jr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Karamyenyan. That one must have hurt.

Karamyenyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holmes Jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karamyenyan has managed to get both his arms back between Holmes Jr's legs - danger averted.

Holmes Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Karamyenyan defends well.
Karamyenyan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Holmes Jr has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Holmes Jr.
Well Karamyenyan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
