Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Cooper (ranked 6705 p4p, 0 weight class) and Congo Kok (ranked 4796 p4p, 0 weight class). Kok has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Congo Kok! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kok closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cooper quickly recovers to half guard. Cooper holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Kok thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kok throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Cooper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kok is working away from the top position though. Kok thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cooper's head. Cooper is controlling Kok's trapped leg to prevent Kok from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooper is staying active underneath Kok, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cooper is holding on to half guard well. Kok sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cooper is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cooper is in close to Kok's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cooper lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cooper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cooper postures up.

Kok turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kok. Cooper changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kok lands a nice looking kick to the body. Cooper takes a step back to recover. Kok drives through with a takedown into Cooper's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kok throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kok must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kok in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cooper wants to sweep here but Kok controlling him for the moment. Kok has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cooper pulls Kok in close to prevent any damage. Cooper controls Kok momentarily but Kok frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kok is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kok throwing strikes from guard but Cooper blocks nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ed Cooper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Donk. Kok catches Cooper right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Ed Cooper has been cut. Cooper tries to keep at a distance but Kok has taken the fight into the clinch. Kok lands a nice elbow. Kok escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Congo Kok showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ed Cooper's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kok is trying to work for a kimura but Cooper is defending well.

Kok defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cooper's arms. Cooper working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Cooper tightening his grip on Kok, looking for the choke. Kok covering up well under a series of strikes from Cooper.
