Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 5104 p4p, 340 weight class) and Frano Norteza (ranked 4025 p4p, 323 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Devil "Shinedown". Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norteza avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Norteza tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sirus Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frano Norteza.

Norteza shoots for a double leg takedown but Hughes sprawls well. He's pushed Norteza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hughes. Norteza does a little dance to reset his feet.
Norteza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Norteza drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Norteza jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
