Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cotton Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Ding Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a shot from downtown. Ding Junior moves away and avoids it.
Ding Junior shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense.
Hill misses the shot to the body.
Hill misses with the combination.
Ding Junior throws a sloppy head kick and Hill moves out of range easily.
Ding Junior fails with a takedown attempt.
Hill stuffs the takedown.
Cotton Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Ding Junior.
Ding Junior looks for the body kick but Hill saw that one coming.

Hill keeps control of Ding Junior as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Ding Junior wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Hill wants the takedown. Ding Junior is fighting it off but Hill persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ding Junior's guard against the cage.

Hill drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hill jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hill pushes down on Ding Junior's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ding Junior wants to control but Hill is keeping busy.

Hill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ding Junior is just riding it out for now. Hill eventually gives up the hold.
Hill tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ding Junior knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hill perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hill decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ding Junior misses with a takedown attempt
and Hill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hill throws a right hand that Ding Junior ducks under and follows up with a left that Ding Junior also avoids with ease.
Hill lands a nice hook to Ding Junior's body. Ding Junior takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Hill throws a series of strikes that have Ding Junior backpedaling.

Hill forces Ding Junior back against the cage and clinches.
Hill drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hill has clasped his hands together around Ding Junior's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ding Junior is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hill scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hill frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hill has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ding Junior's face.
Hill is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ding Junior can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Hill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Hill has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ding Junior's face.
Ding Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
