The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Remore instigates a clinch.
Rodger working hard to break the clinch.
Rodger works on Remore's body with a couple of short punches.
Rodger looking to stall.
Remore keeps control of Rodger as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rodger is trying to force a seperation but Remore has the dominant position.

Rodger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rodger throws a shot to the body.
Rodger misses with the combination.

Remore gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodger tries to break free but Remore pushes him back against the cage.

Remore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rodger blocks the body kick.
Remore showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rodger.
Rodger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Remore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Remore moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rodger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Remore moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rodger.

It looks like Hivahe Remore has been cut.
Danga de danga de dang - Rodger scores with a four punch combination!
Remore takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Remore closes the distance and pushes Rodger back into the cage.
Remore is working for takedown but Rodger is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rodger gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Remore.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodger is trying to force a seperation but Remore has the dominant position.
Rodger can't break the clinch.
Rodger misses with the head strike.
Remore stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rodger tries to break the clinch but Remore is controlling the position.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rodger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rodger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rodger works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Remore breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Remore shoots for a takedown but Rodger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hivahe Remore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rodger scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Donk. Rodger catches Remore right on the button with a cross.
Jolly Rodger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rodger drops Remore with a beautiful combination! Remore stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rodger is looking for the KO!

Jolly Rodger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oh Remore is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jab, jab by Rodger - just one landing.

Hivahe Remore's cut is getting worse.
Rodger works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Remore has a takedown stuffed.
Remore is breathing heavily.

Rodger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Remore looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Remore seems to have got his legs back now.
Rodger lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rodger.

Rodger connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Remore has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rodger finds it's way round the side to connect with Remore's head.
Rodger fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodger leaves Remore with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rodger lands with a good body shot.

Rodger lands with a hook. Remore tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A big left from Remore misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rodger lands a left and a right that send Remore crashing to the mat, dazed. Rodger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hivahe Remore's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Remore closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Remore.
Rodger throws a nice looking combination but Remore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rodger is working the combinations to good effect here.
Rodger connects with a right hand. Remore shakes it off.
Rodger throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Remore on the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Remore throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rodger.
Rodger stuffs the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rodger jabs Remore right on the nose. Remore blinks but takes it well.

Rodger cracks Remore with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rodger has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Remore to stand back up!
Remore looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Rodger lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Remore falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
