Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Objedkov (ranked 2924 p4p, 127 weight class) and Ono Kuronoa (ranked 1194 p4p, 63 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Objedkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ono Kuronoa!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuronoa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Objedkov checks it well.
Nice cross by Kuronoa.
Kuronoa throws a lazy uppercut
and Objedkov counters with a nice uppercut.
Objedkov avoids the body shot from Kuronoa.
Kuronoa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Objedkov.
A nice side step and Kuronoa releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ono Kuronoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuronoa wants to land a leg kick but Objedkov is out of range.
Kuronoa misses with the combination.
Kuronoa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Objedkov misses with a double jab.
Objedkov just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuronoa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Objedkov was well out of range. Poor timing from Kuronoa.
Objedkov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kuronoa.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Objedkov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kuronoa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
No joy there for Kuronoa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Objedkov gets a double leg takedown into Kuronoa's guard.
Kuronoa can't keep his opponent in guard - Objedkov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kuronoa tries to roll over but Objedkov keeps him under control.
Objedkov uses his free foot to push down on Kuronoa's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kuronoa.

Objedkov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kuronoa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kuronoa!
Kuronoa pushes down on Objedkov's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Kuronoa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Objedkov sees it coming and defends easily.
Kuronoa has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kuronoa moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Objedkov has worked his arm free - good work by Objedkov!

Objedkov trying his best to control but Kuronoa has mounted him.
Objedkov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Objedkov is desperately trying to improve his position but Kuronoa has a good base and remains in mount.
Objedkov is controlling an arm, preventing Kuronoa from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Objedkov tries to reverse the position but Kuronoa maintains control.

Kuronoa swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Objedkov is now in Kuronoa's guard. A big mistake from Kuronoa there, giving up the dominant position!

Kuronoa wants to control but Objedkov postures up.

Kuronoa is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Objedkov is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ono Kuronoa will probably get the nod.
That's time! Objedkov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Objedkov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuronoa circles away quickly and effectively.
Objedkov misses with a looping left.
Kuronoa throws a right and a left that Objedkov avoids nicely.
Kuronoa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kuronoa scores with a jab to the body.
Objedkov tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kuronoa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kuronoa throws a body punch but Objedkov moves out of range.
Kuronoa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Objedkov to score with a decent uppercut.

Nice defenses there by Objedkov.
Kuronoa cracks Objedkov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Objedkov looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuronoa is just out of range.
Kuronoa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Objedkov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

It looked like Objedkov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kuronoa.

and Kuronoa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Objedkov tries to clinch but Kuronoa is having none of it.
Kuronoa throws a jab but it's blocked by Objedkov.
Objedkov tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuronoa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Objedkov throws the left hand but Kuronoa avoids the punch easily.
Kuronoa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Objedkov manages to avoid it.

Objedkov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kuronoa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Objedkov is in Kuronoa's guard.
Objedkov wants to control from the top but Kuronoa keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Objedkov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Kuronoa has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Objedkov is looking to take a break and control but Kuronoa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Objedkov is working for a kimura but Kuronoa is defending it quite comfortably.

Objedkov wants to work for an arm triangle but Kuronoa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sergey Objedkov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Kuronoa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Objedkov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Objedkov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kuronoa is trying to escape and Objedkov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kuronoa is forced to tap! Nice work there by Objedkov! Very nice indeed!
