Budawalski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Terminator Theme. Brian Murdock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Budawalski misses the target.
Murdock tries to clinch but Budawalski is having none of it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Murdock.
Murdock drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Murdock decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

so Murdock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murdock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Murdock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Murdock trying to control but Budawalski is working from the bottom.
Budawalski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murdock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Murdock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Budawalski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Murdock is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Budawalski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Murdock's back instead.
Budawalski is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Murdock knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Murdock for a finish.

Budawalski is looking for a choke. Murdock gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Murdock manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Murdock lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Murdock is pushing down on Budawalski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Budawalski is fighting to maintain full guard but Murdock has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marius Budawalski dominated that round.
That's time! Murdock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Budawalski fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Murdock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Budawalski uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Budawalski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Budawalski shoots in for a takedown but Murdock shows good takedown defense.
Marius Budawalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murdock walks into a straight right hand from Budawalski.
Murdock has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Budawalski tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Murdock is desperately trying to improve his position but Budawalski has a good base and remains in mount.
Budawalski wants to finish this one by submission but Murdock is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Budawalski.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Murdock tries to lock up and control but Budawalski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Budawalski jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Murdock manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Murdock pushes Budawalski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Budawalski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Budawalski tries for a kimura but Murdock is defending well.
Budawalski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Murdock can't do much from the bottom here.

Budawalski has hold of Murdock's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Murdock seems comfortable defending it but Budawalski has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Murdock is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Murdock is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Budawalski couldn't care less - he's delighted!
