Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Marsh has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Randy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kingston tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marsh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Marsh moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kingston trying to control but Marsh is working from the bottom.
Marsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kingston is one step ahead there.

Kingston thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Marsh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kingston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Marsh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kingston's guard.

Kingston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marsh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marsh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kingston wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kingston shoots in and bounces Marsh off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Marsh pulls Kingston in close to his closed guard and prevents Kingston from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsh wants to hit a switch here but Kingston passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Marsh there!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kingston looks for a takedown but Marsh sprawls well.

Marsh wants to sweep here but Kingston controlling him for the moment.
Marsh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marsh passes Kingston's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kingston tries to roll over but Marsh keeps him under control.
Kingston tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Marsh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kingston sees it coming and defends easily.
Kingston is looking to control Marsh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kingston avoid being mounted?

Marsh landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Marsh lands strikes from half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Marsh tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kingston counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Marsh's guard now.
Marsh looking to control but Kingston passes into half guard.
Kingston works his way into full mount!

Kingston connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Kingston lands a big shot there that rocks Marsh but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Marsh wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Marsh is trying to defend against the choke here but Kingston has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Kingston Tightens the hold and Marsh taps out furiously! Kingston displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
