Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Daugherty (ranked 5010 p4p, 370 weight class) and Patrick Bower (ranked 24801 p4p, 490 weight class). Daugherty comes to the cage accompanied by Dragula - Rob Zombie. Patrick Bower has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bower takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bower lands a nice hook to Daugherty's body. Daugherty takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Daugherty definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Daugherty misses with a jab to the body
and Bower counters with a left to the body.
Daugherty misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bower connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Daugherty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Daugherty doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bower cracks a nice hook into Daugherty's ribs.

letting Bower counter with a right hand.
Daugherty throws an overhand right that lands on Bower's shoulder, as Bower tries to avoid the shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Bower counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Daugherty thinking.

Daugherty misses with a lunging right hand
and Bower counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bower dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Daugherty gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bower's coach down at Blanc Fitness Academy - 180$/week was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bower's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd cheers as Bower lands an impressive looking overhand right. Daugherty doesn't seem phased though.

Daugherty is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Bower doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Daugherty crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Daugherty's bad books for that mishap!
