Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chad Hooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Reggie Jackson !
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Hooper.

Hooper tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jackson misses with a knee strike.
Hooper misses with a body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hooper takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Hooper tries to work over Jackson 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Jackson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jackson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hooper is defending well for now.

Jackson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Hooper has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jackson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Hooper manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hooper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hooper gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hooper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jackson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Hooper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hooper looks to land a combination. Jackson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hooper is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chad Hooper will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hooper napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hooper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?

Jackson jumps guard and drags Hooper to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hooper drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Hooper off! Hooper jumps back into Jackson 's guard.

Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson is looking to sweep but instead, Hooper has passed into half guard.

Hooper is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

Hooper lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Hooper sits in half guard.

Hooper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hooper takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Hooper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hooper's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hooper's back!

Jackson is trying to stick to Hooper's back but Hooper is turning into Jackson . He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jackson 's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hooper.

Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hooper manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Hooper is keeping the position.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Reggie Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chad Hooper is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Chad Hooper showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hooper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
