Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mono Loco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jedidiah Young!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Young lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Loco darts in looking for a takedown but Young gets double underhooks and turns Loco into the cage.
Young lands a glancing blow to the side of Loco's head.
We've been hearing reports that Loco has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Loco slips a jab and a cross from Young.
Young's jab looks to have found its range, popping Loco under the eye.
Loco tries to move into range but Young moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Loco drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Young lands with a good body shot.
Young misses with a straight right.
Young connects with a body shot that sends Loco's belly button to the back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Young with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Young scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Loco doesn't seem bothered though.
Young lands with a kick to the ribs.
Young connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Loco's hands.

Loco gets a double leg takedown into Young's guard.
Loco controls from within his opponent's guard.

Young controlling the position.
Loco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Loco tries to free his leg and advance position but Young is retaining full guard.
Young working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Loco.
Young trying to keep a closed guard but Loco is proving a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Young looking for a sweep. Not yet Young, not yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Young closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Young wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Loco, who protects the arm well.
Loco is trying to get back to half guard.
Loco manages to get back to half guard.

Loco looking for subs from the bottom but Young mounts him!
Young unloads with some shots from mount but Loco bucks and avoids them well.
Young thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Loco is desperately trying to improve his position but Young has a good base and remains in mount.

Young trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Loco is trying desperately to improve position.
Young wants to control the pace but Loco is squirming around nicely.
Loco really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Loco regains half guard.
Loco moves into full guard.

Loco looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Young wants to control from the top but Loco keeps moving.
Young really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Loco is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Loco looking to hit a scissor sweep but Young is one step ahead there.

Loco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Young wants to control from the top but Loco keeps moving.
Young stands and throws Loco's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Young chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Loco shoots in looking for a takedown. Young tries to sprawl out of it but Loco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Young manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Young darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Young has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Young scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Young connects with the punch.
Loco fails to land the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loco with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Young to score with a decent uppercut.
Loco doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Young counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mono Loco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Loco on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Young lands a jab.
Young jabs Loco to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice uppercut there from Young.
Young clobbers Loco with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Loco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A jab from Young does it's job there.
Loco shoots in but Young avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Loco misses with a takedown attempt
and Young cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Young gets a takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Loco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Loco is refusing to be controlled, as Young sits in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loco works his way to full guard. Good work.
Loco pulls Young in close to his closed guard and prevents Young from doing any damage or advancing position.
Loco wants to sweep but no luck.

Loco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Young defends it easily.

Loco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Young defends well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Loco has his feet on Young's thighs here. He's pushed Young off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Young screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mono Loco!
Mono Loco decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
