The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeezeeloo dives in and grabs Krikland Iii's left leg, looking for a takedown. Krikland Iii pushes down on Zeezeeloo's head and hops out.
Krikland Iii tries to clinch up but Zeezeeloo circles away and keeps his distance.

Zeezeeloo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Krikland Iii controls Zeezeeloo momentarily but Zeezeeloo frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zeezeeloo distracts Krikland Iii with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Zeezeeloo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Zeezeeloo throws a big right hand that misses.
Zeezeeloo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Krikland Iii's head.
Zeezeeloo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zeezeeloo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Krikland Iii is looking to stand up but Zeezeeloo isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zeezeeloo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Krikland Iii might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Krikland Iii has his foot on Zeezeeloo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zeezeeloo works his way back into a safe position though.
Zeezeeloo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Zeezeeloo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Krikland Iii manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Zeezeeloo has Krikland Iii in his guard.

Krikland Iii throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zeezeeloo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Krikland Iii looking to sit in guard and control but Zeezeeloo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Krikland Iii is trying to control the position but Zeezeeloo postures up.
Zeezeeloo connects with a couple of short punches.

Krikland Iii is rocked!

Zeezeeloo loads up on a big left hand. Krikland Iii felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Zeezeeloo looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Krikland Iii can't hide his disappointment, as Zeezeeloo celebrates the victory.
