The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otway walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shiva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Otway stuffs the takedown.
Shiva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Otway thows a body shot but no joy.
Otway wants to slow Shiva down by chopping away at his legs.
Otway digs a good hook to Shiva's body.
John Otway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Otway misses with a wild body shot.
Shiva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shiva checks a leg kick.
Otway throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shiva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Otway swivels and escapes.

Shiva shoots in for a double leg but Otway sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shiva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shiva tries for a takedown but Otway sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
John Otway is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Otway looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Otway darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Otway lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shiva circles away quickly and effectively.
Otway takes a swing at Shiva's ribcage but misses.
Otway tries to bum rush Shiva with a series of wild strikes but Shiva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Otway throws a front kick aimed at Shiva's knee but Shiva avoids it well.

Otway misses with a looping left.
A jab lands there for Otway.
Shiva tries to move into range but Otway moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Shiva shoots for a takedown but Otway saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shiva avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Otway is looking to clinch.
Shiva shoots in and drives through. Otway sprawls well.

Otway looks to land a left hand but Shiva moved out of range nicely.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Shiva throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Otway has his hands clasped together but Shiva breaks the hold and Otway is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Shiva!
