Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Fairbanks (ranked 1450 p4p, 70 weight class) and Oshan Jackson (ranked 2037 p4p, 105 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairbanks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jackson doesn't seem bothered though.

Jackson throws a hook to the side of Fairbanks's head but Fairbanks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A quick step to the side and Fairbanks tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Fairbanks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Fairbanks moves out of range easily.

and Fairbanks counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fairbanks scores with a jab. Jackson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fairbanks has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Fairbanks wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Desmond Fairbanks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oshan Jackson.

and Fairbanks scores with a counter punch that sends Jackson to the canvas! Fairbanks smells blood - he's punishing Jackson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Jackson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
