Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Acevedo (ranked 24618 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snorri Sigfusson (ranked 5123 p4p, 462 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Acevedo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sigfusson uses from the top position.

Sigfusson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Acevedo stacks Sigfusson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Acevedo!

Acevedo is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Acevedo gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Acevedo gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Acevedo apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Sigfusson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sigfusson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Acevedo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Acevedo checks a leg kick.
Sigfusson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Acevedo seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Sigfusson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Acevedo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sigfusson.

Acevedo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sigfusson's guard.

Acevedo lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sigfusson quite badly. Sigfusson pulls Acevedo in close trying to recover. Acevedo postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sigfusson on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sigfusson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
