Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yeah Ok (ranked 4446 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saifulla Rakhmonov (ranked 4406 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yeah Ok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Saifulla Rakhmonov!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ok clinches up with Rakhmonov and pushes him back against the cage.
Rakhmonov misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ok.
Ok misses with the head strike.
Rakhmonov trying to control the position but instead, Ok has worked for underhooks and has pushed Rakhmonov into the cage.
Rakhmonov looking to stall.
Rakhmonov with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Rakhmonov jumps guard.
Ok slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rakhmonov is pulling down on Ok's head. It's preventing any offense from Ok, at least for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rakhmonov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ok wants to control from the top but Rakhmonov keeps moving.
Ok sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ok's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rakhmonov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ok looks to throw the jab but Rakhmonov is out of range.
Rakhmonov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ok backs up against the cage.


It looks like Yeah Ok has been cut.
Rakhmonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ok clinches with his opponent.

Rakhmonov drags the fight down to the ground.
Ok wants to control from the top but Rakhmonov keeps moving.
Rakhmonov keeping full guard, as Ok tries to pass.
Ok slips nicely into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ok not doing much here.
Ok trying to control the action but Rakhmonov is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ok is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Rakhmonov wants to improve his position but Ok is controlling well.
Ok perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ok is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rakhmonov sees it coming and defends easily.
Ok is taking a breather. Rakhmonov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ok trying to control from half guard but Rakhmonov is working away.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ok throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rakhmonov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ok fails with an attempt to clinch.

Rakhmonov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ok's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saifulla Rakhmonov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Yeah Ok's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A looping hook to the body misses from Ok. Rakhmonov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yeah Ok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rakhmonov instigates a clinch.
Ok fails to pull guard.
Rakhmonov is trying to break free.

Rakhmonov pulls guard.
Ok passes into half guard.
Rakhmonov tries to roll over but Ok keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ok is trying to control the action in half guard but Rakhmonov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ok is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rakhmonov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ok.
Ok is keen to just control but Rakhmonov is a slippery customer.

Rakhmonov is trying to maintain the position but Ok is very close to passing his half guard.
Ok controlling the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ok wants to take a breather but Rakhmonov is having none of it.
Ok moves nicely into side control.

Ok tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
You can see the frustration on Rakhmonov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rakhmonov is looking for a sweep.

Ok just content to control the position.

Ok is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rakhmonov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ok remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ok is looking to take a break and control but Rakhmonov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ok works to advance to full mount. Rakhmonov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ok is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rakhmonov is surviving well by controlling Ok's body position as best he can.

Yeah Ok dominated that second round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Ok clinches with his opponent.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ok.

Rakhmonov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Rakhmonov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ok looking for a guillotine here but Rakhmonov defends easily.
Rakhmonov with a flurry of punches that miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ok bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rakhmonov's guard.

Ok stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rakhmonov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rakhmonov is looking for a triangle but Ok pushes his legs off easily.

Rakhmonov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ok can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ok stands and throws Rakhmonov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ok works to advance to full mount. Rakhmonov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Rakhmonov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Rakhmonov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ok tries to control but Rakhmonov wriggling away.
Yeah Ok overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ok is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rakhmonov can do to turn this around?
Rakhmonov trying desperately to get to his feet.
Ok content just to control the position here.

Ok wants to control the pace but Rakhmonov is squirming around nicely.
Ok controlling his opponent.

Ok throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rakhmonov has his hands clasped together but Ok breaks the hold and Rakhmonov is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ok!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yeah Ok!
