These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dakila. That did some damage!
Dakila dives in and grabs Diego's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diego pushes down on Dakila's head and hops out.
Diego connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Datu Dakila has been cut.

Diego drops Dakila with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dakila looks back up at him and smiles so Diego waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Diego pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diego lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Dakila falls backwards - clearly groggy! Diego dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
