The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portis slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Osterman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Osterman!

It looks like Jordan Portis has been cut.
Osterman falls off balance throwing a combination
and Portis counters with a nice body shot.
Portis throws a jab when Osterman was well out of range.
It seemed like Osterman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A shot to the liver by Osterman. Beautiful body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Osterman. Portis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Portis throws a hook to the side of Osterman's head but Osterman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Osterman lands a nice looking body shot.

Osterman steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Portis.
Osterman swings for the body but Portis moves out of range.
Portis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Osterman misses with a hook. Portis ducked under it nicely.
Osterman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Portis rather than just go for the knockout.
Portis fails to land with a series of punches.
Portis misses with a body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Osterman. That snapped Portis's head back.

Portis shoots for a double leg takedown but Osterman sprawls well. He's pushed Portis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Oh Portis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Portis scores with a nice right hand.

It looks like Kevin Osterman has been cut.
Portis throws a looping overhand right but Osterman ducks down to avoid it.

Osterman stuns Portis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Portis seems to have got his legs back now.
Osterman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Osterman just misses with a punch to the body.
Osterman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Osterman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've been told by Portis's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Portis throws a body shot but no joy.
Osterman works Portis's body with a nice hook.
Portis takes a swing at Osterman's ribcage but misses.
Osterman steps in with a hook that catches Portis right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Osterman follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Portis looks absolutely devastated.
